The leader of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood Mohammed Badie on Tuesday accused an Egyptian police officer of insulting him during one of his military trials.
Badie told the judge in the Minya Criminal Court: “I face 48 trials just because I am the group’s leader and I do not know anything about these cases. I am isolated in a cage from the rest of the defendants,” adding that during one of his trials in Cairo a police officer verbally abused him and his mother.
Badie and 683 other Muslim Brotherhood members and leaders are accused of raiding public establishments, including Adwa police station, disturbing the peace and terrorising people, a judicial source who asked not to be named told the Anadolu Agency.
