Israeli Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Israel has identified four main tasks in dealing with the besieged Gaza Strip.

Speaking at a meeting of his Yisrael Beiteinu party, Lieberman said that despite the difficult economic situation Hamas is still developing and testing rockets.

The official said the Israeli security is working with a clear strategy in the enclave including four important targets. “Our top priority is to solve the issue of Israeli prisoners and missing persons in Gaza and eliminate Hamas’ offensive tunnels which could be achieved by the end of this year 2018.”

According to Lieberman, the Israeli army’s other two concerns are the establishment of a ground wall around Gaza and to deprive Hamas from its strategic capabilities, pointing out that the Israeli army has targeted these capabilities.
