Israel said, Wednesday evening, that it has received a list of captives who will be released by Palestinian groups in Gaza on Thursday under a ceasefire agreement, Anadolu Agency reports.
“Israel has received the list of captives” scheduled for release on Thursday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said in a statement.
According to Israel’s Army Radio, five Thai nationals and three Israelis, including Arbel Yehud, will be freed on Thursday.
Israel has used the case of Yehud to justify delays in allowing displaced Palestinians to return to their areas in northern Gaza from Saturday to Monday morning.
No information was provided yet about the number of Palestinian prisoners who will be released in return.
