On 19 July, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) issued its Advisory Opinion regarding the legal consequences arising from the Policies and Practices of Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT), including East Jerusalem, concluding that Israel’s continued presence in the OPT is unlawful and must end as rapidly as possible, adding that Israel must pay reparations to Palestinians for their losses as a result of its continued occupation.
