Turkey allocates 40,000 housing units for Syrian refugees

Turkish authorities have decided to allocate homes for homeless Syrian refugees before the start of the winter season.


The Director General of Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency, Dr Fuat Oktay, told Anadolu News Agency that his department has allocated 40,000 new housing units to offer winter protection for Syrian refugees who are still without shelter. The presidency was established in 2009 to take necessary measures for effective emergency management and civil protection throughout Turkey.
