Israel’s Minister of Justice Tzipi Livni said that Tel Aviv should intensify its efforts to progress negotiations with the Palestinian side to strengthen alliances with Arab States.
Livni said during Israel’s diplomatic conference on Thursday in Herzliya “we must work to contain the Iranian threat and to progress with the Palestinian negotiations at the same time. The conflict with the Palestinians prevents Arab states threatened by Iran to openly cooperate with Israel. These countries expect the international community to deal firmly with the Iranian nuclear file.”
The Israeli Minister believes progress in the Palestinian- Israeli negotiations would weaken Iran’s position in the world and allow the formation of an international hub, which includes Arab States, to confront Tehran’s nuclear threat.
