Iran reduces financial aid to Hamas for stand on Syria

Iranian support for Hamas has been affected because of the Islamic Resistance Movement’s position towards Syria, prominent Hamas official Khalil Al-Hayya said on Thursday. The head of the Hamas bloc in the Palestinian Legislative Council confirmed that financial support from Iran has been “shaken, but not stopped completely”.

Pointing out that the movement is eager to maintain good political relations with all regimes regarding the Palestinian issue Mr Al-Hayya added that Iran’s position towards the Palestinian cause is still consistent with Hamas’s position towards Tehran.
