Palestinian farmers in Gaza are in the midst of harvesting a successful production of citrus fruit. Palestinian officials toured the land, and were given a variety of the harvest to sample. The fertile land, adjacent to the former Netzarim settlement, has seen plenty of hardships over the decades, most recently with the land being completely razed to the ground in the during Operation Cast Lead.

Palestinian fruit has always been a popular export product, with its oranges being especially appreciated in Europe. Palestinian farmers in Gaza continue strive to till their lands, with Israel’s occupying forces shooting and attacking them on a regular basis.
