Meshaal in Gaza to celebrate Hamas' 25th anniversary

Hamas has announced that its political bureau chief, Khaled Meshaal, and a number of the movement’s leaders abroad, would participate in events of its twenty-fifth anniversary scheduled for the next Saturday.

Ashraf Abu Zayed, Hamas’ Mass Action Unit Officer said in remarks on Sunday that, “no other VIPS” who had not been specified by him would be arriving in the Gaza Strip to participate in events. The Movement has welcomed the visits.

Last Thursday, Hamas announced the kick-off of its anniversary’s events, while the streets of the Sector were decorated with green Hamas flags. It is worth mentioning that Izzat Rishq, a member of Hamas’ Political Bureau, confirmed that he would be travelling to the Gaza Strip shortly.
