A Syrian pilot who defected from the regime’s air force has used his aircraft to attack supporters of Bashar Al-Assad’s government. Details of the incident were revealed by the Syrian Revolution General Commission.

In a statement, the SRGC said that the defector bombed the town of Al-Safsafeyeh near the city of Hama, killing and injuring dozens. A commander of a Free Syrian Army brigade in Al-Tremsa noted that the pilot targeted an area where members of the pro-Assad Shabiha militia were gathered.

The SRGC added that the Free Syrian Army also fired at a regime helicopter that was hovering above Al-Khalidiya in the northern city of Aleppo. The helicopter was forced to land. No further details were given.
