Israeli Occupation serves more demolition notices in the West Bank

Israeli Occupation Forces have served the people of Burka village, in the north of the West Bank with three demolition notifications for the destruction of two houses and a joinery workshop. The notices were served two days ago when the town was raided during the night in what has become a regular occurrence with the Israeli army conducting similar actions.

This current Israeli policy exposes numerous homes in Palestinian villages to the constant threat of demolition and puts hundreds of families and individuals at risk of being displaced. One of the houses under immediate threat in Burka is home to almost twenty people and more than one family while the impact of demolishing the workshop will be far reaching as a number of workers will lose the source of their livelihood. Arguments used by Israel to justify these actions are flimsy and without basis ranging from claims that these homes pose a danger to nearby settlements or that they do not have the necessary permits.
