Bahar calls for broad Arab-Islamic campaign to save Jerusalem

February 28, 2014 at 12:23 am

A senior Palestinian Legislative Council member, Ahmed Bahar, called for the launch of a broad Arab-Islamic campaign in order to save Jerusalem city -with all its Islamic and Christian sanctities on top of which comes Al- Aqsa Mosque-from the increasing Israeli threats before a disaster strikes.

Bahar commended, on behalf of the Legislative Council’s presidency, to the noble positions expressed by the Global Forum of Islamist Parliamentarians in its fourth meeting held in Kuwait recently to champion Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque. He also praised “the courage and responsible stand” made against the challenges faced by the Al-Aqsa and the holy city and the steps taken to expose the Israeli policies aimed at Judaizing Jerusalem, expelling its people and getting physical access to Al-Aqsa Mosque under spurious arguments and justifications.

The presidency of the Legislative Council thanked the Kuwaiti authorities for hosting the meeting organized by the Forum over four days, and for their sincere support for Jerusalem and Palestine.
