The 20-strong delegation is expected to hold talks with newly-inaugurated President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi and Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmi, a source from the British Embassy in Cairo said.

According to the source, the talks are expected to focus on Egypt's transition, British investigations into the activities of the Muslim Brotherhood as well as some regional files, including Syria, the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Libya and Iraq.

The British delegation is also expected to hold talks with a number of political figures during the visit.

Local medial earlier said that the British delegation's visit aims to congratulate Al-Sisi on being elected as Egypt's President.
