Aboul-Fotouh: ‘trivial’ people make major decisions in Egypt

The head of Strong Egypt party, Abdel Moneim Aboul-Fotouh, has said that “trivial” people in Egypt are responsible for making major decision in the country, Almesryoon.com reported on Wednesday.

Aboul-Fotouh’s remarks came as he commented on the decision to dismiss Dr Hassan El-Shafei, the head of the Arabic Language Academy, and his deputy Dr Mohamed Hamasah from their positions at Cairo University.

He said that “trivial” people must not be allowed to play with the fate of the country. “Such decisions must not be left to those who bring us shame,” he posted on his Twitter account.

Both professors were dismissed under the pretext of occupying two positions
