The ongoing Jerusalem Intifada “is a real uprising in every sense of the word” and has thwarted plans for negotiations, a senior Hamas member said yesterday.
During a meeting organised by his movement in the Gaza Strip, Mahmoud Al-Zahar added: “Hamas is keen to have good relations with all Arab and Muslim countries, including Iran,” adding that the movement does not interfere in the affairs of any state at all.
He stressed on the need to implement the points agreed upon in the reconciliation pact as one package and not selectively, in addition to the application of all points agreed on within the framework of the 2011 Cairo Agreement.
