416 Palestinians arrested by Israel since the beginning of November

The Israeli army has carried out 416 arrests in the West Bank and Jerusalem since the beginning of this month, including 122 children and minors, according to the Palestinian Prisoners Club.

The Prisoners Club (a non-governmental organisation) said in a statement issued yesterday that the Israeli army carried out a total of 416 arrests, of which 181 in the city of Jerusalem, including 42 children, and 70 in Hebron, including 50 children.

The statement explained that the rest of arrests were distributed among the other governorates of the West Bank.

The Prisoners Club pointed out that a number of detainees have been released recently, without specifying their number.

Israel is currently holding about 6,500 Palestinians in its jails, according to official figures.
