Danes to celebrate birthday of Palestinian child prisoner

A group of Danish activists are preparing to celebrate the birthday of 13-year-old Palestinian prisoner Ahmed Manasrah, the PLO Prisoner Committee said in a statement yesterday.

Manasrah, from Jerusalem, was shot several times by Israeli police on 12 October 2015 then beaten and verbally abused by Israelis as he lay bleeding on the ground.

The child was later taken to an Israeli hospital where he was treated under heavy security; he was handcuffed to his bed throughout his treatment.

A leaked video showed that he was underwent harsh interrogations at the hands of Israeli security agents.
