The Egyptian regime is leading the country to an “explosion”, Rassd.com reported a senior leader in the country’s Construction and Development Party saying yesterday.
Rushdi condemned the “terror” attacks which took place in Hilwan, blaming the country’s political system. He stressed that the attack was part of a chain of “political and security failures” which are leading the country to “full collapse”.
“Sadly, the security failures reached a dangerous stage,” he said, noting that Daesh arrived in Cairo. He expressed his hopes that the Hilwan attack does not have negative effects on the peaceful revolutionary movement.
He expected that the regime will use this attack to practice more “oppression”, adding that this would not be useful and the regime has to understand that “oppression leads to violence”.
Rushdi stressed on the importance of having a political process as the situation in Egypt becomes dangerous. He noted that the police withdrew from the streets in the wake of January 25 Revolution and there were no terror acts. “Treatment can be achieved by opening freedoms’ door,” he said.
