218 Palestinians killed since October 2015

Israeli occupation forces have killed 218 Palestinians since the start of the current Intifada in 2015 and wounded 17,072 others according to official numbers issued by the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) yesterday.

In a statement reported by the Anadolu Agency, the PRCS said that 139 of the 218 were killed for allegedly carrying out stabbing attacks or for allegedly attempting to carry out such an attack against Israeli soldiers.

Of those injured, 573 were shot with live ammunition, 3,344 were shot with rubber bullets, 11,611 suffered problems with their breathing as a result of being hit by tear gas, two were hit by vehicles and four were killed in airstrikes and artillery shelling in Gaza.

Meanwhile, Anadolu reported that 38 Israelis and two foreigners were killed and 425 were injured during the same period.
