Egypt will open the Rafah crossing for three days starting tomorrow, authorities in the Gaza Strip announced yesterday.
The crossing, which was only opened 44 days in 2016, will be open in both directions to allow those stranded on either side of the border to make their journeys.
The Ministry of Interior in Gaza said it will publish a list of those who will be allowed to travel across the border.

More than 30,000 people have applied to travel through the crossing.
Rafah is the main gateway to the world for Gazans who have been living under an Israeli imposed siege for a decade. Egyptian authorities have enforced Israel’s stifling hold on Gaza, closing the crossing and stopping imports.
