The dean of a Saudi university has been suspended until investigations are complete following claims that he accused students of being affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood.
The defendant, whose identity was not revealed by the court, did not attend the hearings which were held at the Riyadh Criminal Court. He will not be questioned and investigated.
Saudi Arabia declared the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organisation on 7 March 2014. A number of Saudi and Arab university professors who were accused of being affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood were also questioned by Saudi authorities.
