Six Russian Sukhoi Su-25 attack aircrafts landed, Wednesday, at a military airfield in the Krasnodar region, after carrying out their combat mission in Syria for several months, a Russian military source said.

“Servicemen of our legendary 4th Red Banner Air Force and Air Defence Army of the Southern Military District have returned from the Syrian Arab Republic after a long mission. The crews have accomplished the most important and responsible mission of liberating the country friendly to us from international terrorists, with honor and valor,” Army Commander, Major General Viktor Sevostyanov said.

According to the General, the pilots made daily sorties, day and night, to monitor the air conditions in the de-escalation zone in southern Syria.

“The whole world was watching your actions carefully. Your fighting comrades, relatives and friends have worried about you. You have returned victorious” the Russian general said.

Sevostyanov said the Russian Supreme Military Command has ordered high state honors to all those who contributed to the maintenance of peace in Syria.
