A PLO delegation to Syria headed by the member of its executive committee Azzam Al-Ahmad met with Syrian Prime Minister Imad Khamis to discuss the issue of Palestine refugees in the country yesterday, Shehab.ps reported.

Al-Ahmad described the meeting as “very important”.

He added: “The meeting discussed the core issues of the refugees in Yarmouk refugee camp, the timetable set by the Syrian government to rebuild it and return the refugees.”

The PLO officials said that there is “understanding” between them and the Syrian prime minister, who said that the Syrian leadership is obliged to meet the needs of the Palestinian refugees who were forced out due to the crisis in the country.

Al-Ahmad reported the prime minister saying that the Syrian crises “will never distance the Syrians from supporting the Palestinians and their efforts to face the ‘deal of the century’.”
