Turkey has discovered oil in three new onshore wells over the last month, Energy Minister Fatih Donmez announced today.
The oil has been found at two wells in the southeastern Diyarbakir province and at a third site in the northwestern province of Kirklareli.
Karadeniz’deki 405 milyar m3’lük doğal gaz keşfimizin ardından, karada da 3 yeni kuyuda petrol keşfettik.
Günlük 6.800 varil üretim yapacağımız keşiflerimiz hayırlı olsun.

The find will add 6,800 barrels of oil to the nation’s daily output.
“Our domestic average daily production goes above 61,000 barrels of oil,” the minister said.
According to data from Turkey’s energy watchdog, the country’s total oil imports decreased by four per cent to 3.38 million tonnes in March compared to the same month last year.
