Join us for a live conversation with Executive Director Muslim Aid Sweden Mehmet Kaplan as we discuss the relief efforts on the ground in Turkiye following the deadly earthquakes that rocked the country and neighbouring Syria on 6 February 2023.

Born in Gaziantep, Turkiye, Kaplan moved to Sweden in 1972 and later studied environmental engineering. He served as Sweden’s Minister for Housing and Urban Development from 2014 to 2016 and is a member of the Swedish Green Party. He is currently on the ground in Turkiye helping with relief efforts.
