Internal disputes within Israel are the most acute and dangerous threat of all, President Isaac Herzog said yesterday.
At a ceremony marking 50 years since the Yom Kippur War, Herzog said that Tel Aviv witnessed a painful example of how internal conflicts escalate and worsen on Monday. The president was referring to clashes that took place during this year’s public prayer services in Tel Aviv when Orthodox Jews tried to hold segregated prayers in the public square in contravention of court orders banning the service.
