The leader of the Sadrist movement in Iraq, Muqtada Al-Sadr, yesterday asserted that Iraq is ready to send supplies to Gaza.
In a sermon from the city of Najaf, Al-Sadr urged all Arabs, especially Egyptians, to open their borders and break the inhumane siege imposed on the Gaza Strip to allow water and food to reach civilians.
Al-Sadr said that Iraq is ready to send supplies to the besieged coastal enclave, without explaining how this would be implemented.
He criticised Arab leaders who chose to remain silent and did not react to the developments, seemingly to protect their position.
