A Palestinian man was shot and killed last night when Israeli occupation forces stormed into Al-Fawwar refugee camp in southern Hebron in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Information Centre has reported. The occupation forces shot at local people and raided homes in the camp.
Yehya Awad, 29, was pronounced dead at dawn today. Medical staff confirmed that he was killed by a bullet in his chest. Three other young men suffered moderate wounds during skirmishes with Israeli soldiers.
Awad was married with a one-year-old daughter, and his wife is expecting their second child. He worked for the Hebron municipality.
Palestinian factions have called for a general strike in Al-Fawwar camp as an act of mourning for martyr Awad.
