Israel’s ultimate plan in the occupied West Bank and besieged Gaza Strip is to completely erase the Palestinian existence, South African anti-apartheid campaigner and former government minister, Ronnie Kasrils, told Al Jazeera Net.
Kasrils cited the founding fathers of the Zionist movement including Theodor Herzl, who had openly and intentionally declared the goal of seizing the entire land of historic Palestine through ethnic cleansing, terrorism, wars and forced displacement.
He warned that the Israeli goal recently developed to be more extreme and cruel to the point of genocide, which Israeli historian Ilan Pappe has labelled “gradual genocide”, currently taking place “without embellishment” at the hands of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government.
He stressed that the West supports displacing the Palestinians, and eliminating them, if necessary, after they proved to be “steadfast” for years.
