Israeli occupation forces have erected 898 military checkpoints and gates outside Palestinian villages, towns and cities in the occupied West Bank, Wafa news agency reported.
The Director General of Publication and Documentation at the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Amir Daoud, told the agency yesterday that out of the 898 military barriers and iron gates, 18 iron gates were installed by the occupation so far this year.
He added that the last iron gate was the gate of the town of Kafr Qaddum, east of Qalqilya, which the occupation army installed yesterday morning.
Daoud pointed out that settlers, protected by the Israeli occupation army, carried out a series of attacks on Palestinian villages and towns, citizens’ vehicles and their property, especially in eastern Qalqilya.
For the third consecutive day, Israeli occupation forces tightened the military measures at most of the entrances and exits across the West Bank.
Since the ceasefire went into effect in Gaza on Sunday, the Israeli occupation has tightened its oppressive measures and attacks on the West Bank.
