Iran: We will not compromise our right to use nuclear energy

Iran “will never compromise over the natural right of our country to use the nuclear energy for peaceful purposes and we will always defend it,” the Fars news agency quoted Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif as saying yesterday.

He noted the statements made by the commander of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and the government’s firm determination to defend the Iranian people’s rights in the field of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.

Zarif also mentioned the third round of the final negotiations to be held in the Austrian capital Vienna soon and said that the first phase of the third round of negotiations between Iran and the P5+1 countries began today to merge the two sides’ views in the course of preparing a joint text and to address the ambiguities in order to reach a final agreement on the nuclear issue.
