Abu Mazen and the tree

January 15, 2015 at 3:15 pm

The disappointment felt by Abu Mazen after his submissive draft resolution, which he presented to the UN Security Council despite the fact that all the Palestinian factions rejected the resolution and objected to his unilateral step reminded me of something. In order to recover and cover up his significant scandal, he immediately signed the request to join the International Criminal Court (ICC), a measure demanded by all the resistance factions, but he continued to procrastinate and stall without taking a real step towards it. It seems he took this measure in order to show Netanyahu he was serious after the Israeli prime minister mocked him and his proposal in various media outlets.

I said that Abbas’s actions reminded me of something; it reminded me of something Netanyahu said years ago when the pointless negotiations were being held. He said: “Mahmoud Abbas climbed too high up a tree and does not want to come down. But, he will ultimately bring it down with him as he comes to the ground.” Such words were uttered by a murderer who is standing on solid ground made up of America and the international forum called the Security Council, which Mahmoud Abbas resorted to with his failed proposal.

Didn’t he ask himself when has the Security Council supported and served justice to the Palestinians, as it watched them being killed, displaced and their land confiscated for over 60 years? What have Palestinians gained from the futile negotiations that have been ongoing since the signing of the ill-fated Oslo Accords other than the killing of Palestinians, the imprisonment of their fighters, the confiscation of more Palestinian territories, the establishment of thousands of settlements, and the Judaisation of Jerusalem which has become unified and considered by Israel as its holy city? Israel allowed its soldiers to desecrate the grounds of Al-Aqsa Mosque with the boots of their soldiers when they stormed it.

After all of this, Abbas, you take your proposal to the Security Council? Have you no shame? Or has the feeling of shame never found its way to you? Obama has recently announced his rejection of Palestine joining the International Criminal Court and has informed your beloved Netanyahu of this; what are you going to do about this, especially since you are still in your tree and are threatening him? This Zionist enemy is not afraid of threats unless they are serious, not child’s play. This enemy does not recognise or believe in anything but the strength and power that drove the enemy out of Gaza humiliated and afraid during its wars on the enclave in 2007, 2012 and 2013. These wars caused severe losses for Israel.

The only language understood by the enemy is the language of force or fruitless negotiations that result in nothing but wasting time and reining in the popular uprisings. It also led to the Oslo Accords and gave you fake authority in order to confiscate the resistance’s weapons. This was the big trick they played on you and you are still in their trap. If President Yasser Arafat was still alive, he would have cancelled this agreement and said that he had signed it for the sake of Palestine and that today he would cancel it for the sake of Palestine. He would have then carried his rifle and that is why he was killed.

Of course, you will not resort to such measures because you have learned your lesson, especially since you know that Dahlan is waiting at your door and will open it soon based on America’s orders, with the help of Al-Sisi. Will your participation in the march in France with your friend Netanyahu clear the air?
