Meshaal says Saudi visit turned new page in relations

The head of the Hamas Political Bureau has said that his visit to Saudi Arabia last week has turned a new page in relations between the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement and the kingdom.

“Our visit to Saudi Arabia is a step in the right direction,” Khaled Meshaal explained, “and Hamas aims to cooperate with all Arab and Islamic fronts for Palestine and Jerusalem.” He rejected the many negative rumours circulating during his trip.

The Hamas delegation headed by Meshaal included some of his senior colleagues in the movement. During the two-day visit they met with Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Hamas said in a statement on its website.
