The dismissal of Iraqi Parliament Speaker Salim Al-Jabouri and his two deputies is “illegal” as no quorum was achieved, his office said yesterday. Al-Jabouri and his two deputies Hammam Hamoudi and Aram Sheikh Mohammed were sacked yesterday.
Turkey’s Anadolu Agency reported that 171 out of 328 MPs, led by Adnan Al-Janabi, decided to dismiss Al-Jabouri from his post.
Meanwhile, the head of Iraqi Forces Alliance, Ahmed Al-Massari, stressed that the coalition confirms its commitment to having Al-Jabouri as Parliament Speaker.
