Israeli bulldozers yesterday demolished a Palestinian gas station and a commercial building in the town of Hezma, northeast of Jerusalem, under the pretext that it was built without the necessary construction permits.
Local sources reported that the Israeli army and police accompanied by bulldozers stormed the town in the middle of the night and imposed a military cordon around the area before demolishing the gas station and a car wash facility and confiscated some of the equipment.
Israeli authorities carry out continuous demolition operations against Palestinian properties in the West Bank and the occupied East Jerusalem. Experts say this is a part of a plan to Judaise the areas and evict the Palestinian inhabitants.
