The national army of Yemen confirmed that a Houthi group commander was killed in a raid conducted by the Saudi-led coalition, the Anadolu Agency reported.
Khalil Muhammad Azim, a commander of the Houthi group was killed in a raid in the Midi District, northwest of the Yemen. Several Houthi soldiers were also killed in the raid.
The Houthi group are currently in control of Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, holding a strong presence in northern Yemen.
The Saudi-led coalition entered the conflict upon the request of President, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, to reinstate his governance in Sana’a and push back military advancements by the Houthis towards the south.

Yesterday, the coalition ended Qatar’s participation in the fight against the Houthis after Saudi, the UAE, Bahrain, Egypt and Hadi’s government in Yemen severed ties with the Gulf state.
