The Syrian armed opposition have said rebel brigades have prevented the progress of regime forces towards areas controlled by the rebels in Mount Turkmen, in the countryside of Latakia.
Al-Arabiya Al-Hadath, a news channel, reported the Syrian opposition saying on Sunday that rebels had thwarted the progress of regime troops in Tel Toama front and the village of Daghdaghan, amid heavy air cover from the Russian air force to retake rebel areas.
