The Israeli army yesterday demolished four houses that belong to one family, in addition to agricultural facilities in the village of Ramon in Ramallah.

Aqab Kahla told Quds Press that the army demolished his home and the home of his father and two brothers near Ramon, east of Ramallah, without prior warning, the family were not event time to remove their personal items from the properties. Fourteen family members lived in the tin-roofed houses.

Kahla pointed out that the demolition process affected agricultural facilities including barns for sheep, adding that the family were forced out of the properties while bulldozers carried out the demolitions.

He called on the authorities and human rights groups to stand by the families who now have no shelter.

In 2015, Israel demolished 26 houses and facilities in Hebron, and issued an additional 50 demolition orders to the owners of houses which it said were built without the necessary licenses, a report by the Land Research Centre revealed.
