Israel’s occupation army resumed building work on Friday along the border with the Gaza Strip, Shehab news agency has reported. The construction of a concrete border wall was halted on Thursday when tension rose in the area.

According to Yedioth Ahronoth, the army also resumed its search for tunnels under the border. Israelis were also allowed to return to work in the settlers’ farms adjacent to the besieged coastal enclave.

On Thursday, three Palestinians from Gaza were wounded during Israeli attacks on Palestinian security and resistance bases, said the Ministry of Health. The Israelis were alleged to be “responding” to Palestinian attacks on the Israeli troops working on the border wall, the building of which began last year in a bid to counter the effectiveness of the tunnels used by resistance groups so effectively during Israel’s 2014 military offensive.
