Israel faces intelligence difficulties in identifying Houthi missile bunkers

The Israeli Air Force is preparing to respond to the missile attacks launched recently by Yemen’s Houthis, but it is facing difficulty in collecting intelligence that will enable it to locate the movement’s missile bunkers, Maariv has reported.

The newspaper added that the Israel occupation army’s intelligence division is focusing its activity on monitoring a group of military and strategic Houthi targets in Yemen, according to Al Jazeera Net.

“The Israeli army and the security establishment admit that the problem with fighting a terrorist [sic] organisation such as the Houthis is particularly complex, due to the difficulty of collecting intelligence information about the tribal leaders heading the organisation, as well as the difficulty of locating missile bunkers, and not being content with bombing facilities in ports and fuel barrels.”

Maariv explained that the missile that Israel failed to intercept on Saturday, and which fell in Tel Aviv, was a development of the Iranian-made Kheibar missile. It said that the amount of explosive material in the missile’s head was reduced, in exchange for adding more solid fuel to improve the missile’s range and speed, as reported by Al Jazeera Net.
