Insan Channel Charity organised on Friday a mass wedding for 45 Syrian couples from the Free Syrian Army, activists and nurses in areas controlled by the Syrian opposition in Aleppo, Anadolu reported.
Aleppo is one of the Syrian cities which has been under almost daily attacks by the Syrian regime and its Russian allies.
Wael Adel, the coordinator of the wedding, told Anadolu that this wedding is part of a larger one, which would include all Syrian governorates. He noted that one million US dollars were allocated for the project.
Adel pointed out that two of the grooms listed for the wedding were killed a few days before it took place.
Insan Channel Charity paid all the expenses of the mass wedding and donated a sum of cash to the grooms in order to help them start their new lives.
Several members and leaders of the opposition factions attended the wedding during which wedding songs and folk dancing were performed.
