Israeli army yesterday completed military drills, including aerial and navy drills, in preparation for a potential war along the Syrian and Lebanese fronts, a statement said.

“These drills, which lasted for two weeks, are the first of this kind,” the statement said.

According to the statement, these drills were previously planned to promote the readiness of the military units.

Chief of Israeli Northern Command Aviv Kochavi said in the statement that all the army’s units cooperated in the drills, which were to practice approaches to face global jihad and Hezbollah in both Syria and Lebanon.

Kochavi added that the army conducted wide-scale and intensive training, which included launching attacks towards targets along the potential war fronts.
